Based on the positive reviews, I chose this restaurant to eat a shovel. I can only say that it was really the best shovel 😋. The waitress was also very nice and the food came quite quickly. However, it is advisable to reserve here in advance because there are not very many tables.

Boss personally called us back to make a reservation. That's the only thing I find highly professional. THE FOOD KNOWS US. Tastes 100% like "I still want". Recommended place, excellent kitchen and staff. We'll be back ... 🙏❤👍

They have been living in Erlangen for decades and have long failed to "discover" the spice. 😉 Big mistake, because in my view Erlangen is one of the best that Franconian cuisine has to offer. Cozy ambience in a small room with authentic, always delicious food. Definitely reserve.

Best place in Erlangen

First class! That was the nicest service I've had in a restaurant for a long time. The food was rustic, deliciously authentic and well worth the price. We sat from 9pm to 11:30 pm and played another game. The waitress had kindly allowed us to do that. The whole place feels like a home living room and we were all immediately in love. Absolute recommendation. There!

As an Italian I can say I ate really well. Excellent German-style cuisine with excellent draft and bottled beer, truly welcoming staff and old-fashioned location. The owner speaks excellent English, as well as being particularly nice and kind. Absolutely recommended.

Was here for a late Weekend lunch as this was one of the rare places in Erlangen with the kitchen still open at 3:00PM! The appearance at the entrance surely led me to believe this was not going to be a good meal. But then once the salad was served that perception quickly changed. Lovely People, great Food. I was not expecting such culinary Expertise from this place. They are simply the best. A tip around autumn would be to order something with mushrooms because is mushroom season and the yield is plenty.

A lovely locally owned restaurant. Very cozy place and the white cabbage is super awesome! Always busy.
